Shana Hiatt may not be a household name to the masses, but she is the "It" girl to
poker players. Maxim magazine confirmed what poker players knew when they named her #76 in the "Hot 100 of 2005" list.
Shana hosted the first three seasons of the World Poker Tour and then left the job when she decided on to pursue
other ventures (The show replaced her with
Courtney Friel for season four and
Sabina Gadecki for season five).
During those three years, I remember hearing about her almost as much as I heard about the poker that was being played.
I especially heard about her during the Aruba, Party Poker, and PokerStars Caribbean Adventure tournaments when she would
be sporting a bikini and sarong.
Hiatt was born in 1975 and at the age of 18, Ray Manzella, the talent agent who worked with Jenny McCarthy and
Pamela Anderson, helped Shana. Soon, she was modeling in Milan and traveling the world. When she returned home to
the United States, she participated in the Hawaiian Tropic Pageant and was crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA. In
1995, Playboy magazine did a spread titled the "Girls of Hawaiian Tropic". Shana not only appeared in the
magazine, but landed the cover. She also was in the Playboy video, "The Girls of Hawaiian Tropic: Naked in
Paradise" which was released in 1994.
Shana now hosts NBC's Poker After Dark.
