Belly Buster - An inside straight draw.
A belly buster draw is a draw to an inside
straight rather than an open ended straight. For example, if a player was playing Texas Holdem and was holding 98 and the
flop was Q75, the player would have a belly buster draw. He would need a six to complete the
straight.
Occasionally, players will have a double belly buster draw. If the player held the same hand (98) on a flop of J75, he
would need any six or any ten to complete a straight. Obviously, since the player has more
outs (8 as opposed to 4) on
the double belly buster, he is more likely to complete his drawing hand than he would if he just had a regular belly buster.
