Heads Up - A pot that is being played by only two players.

Playing heads-up poker is also known as playing “head to head”. Heads up poker has become more popular with the introduction of online poker. In fact, NBC has cashed in on it by holding the National Heads-Up Poker Championships where 64 players including Phil Hellmuth and Chris Ferguson compete in a bracket tournament similar to the NCAA's March Madness tournament.

There are several ways a player can play heads-up poker. He can play in a cash game specifically set up for heads up action or he can play in a heads up sit n go match or in a tournament where the winner of each table get matched up with a winner from another table and play continues until there is one winner.

It is possible to play heads-up poker in a full game. If all players fold except one opponent, you will be playing heads up during that particular hand.
