Implied Odds – Bets you expect to win, which aren’t yet in the pot.

Implied odds are different than immediate pot odds in that the chips you think you can win if you make your hand are not yet in the pot when making your decision. In calculating your odds to stay in a hand, you can include bets you will be able to get from opponents if you make the hand you are drawing to.

For example, you call with a flush draw on the turn even though the pot is not giving you the proper odds, because you feel certain you can win one or more bets from your opponent(s) on the river if you make your flush. You are sure they will “pay you off”, so you can include those bets in your calculations.
