Semi-Bluff - To bet a draw as if it were a made hand.

A semi-bluff is medium strength or draw hand bet in such a manner as to represent a strong or completed hand. The game theory concept behind semi-bluff is pretty straightforward. If you have a draw or a hand that you suspect needs improvement in order to win, it may be a good time to semi-bluff by betting or raising. This is because your action may win you the pot outright, and even if you are called, you will still have a chance to catch your key card to win the pot. This additional suck out potential makes a semi-bluff substantially less risky than a pure bluff. It is a common play from tough, aggressive players.
