Straight Flush - A completed poker hand containing five consecutively ranked cards, all of the same suit, for example: 5♠-6♠-7♠-8♠-9♠.

A straight flush is the most powerful hand in straight high poker games where wild cards are not present. If wild cards are used, it will typically lose to five of a kind. It is characterized by five cards of consecutive rank, all of the same suit. If more than one straight flush is present on a given hand, the pot is awarded to the straight flush of the higher rank. The best possible straight flush is called a “royal flush” and looks like: 10♠-J♠-Q♠-K♠-A♠. The lowest possible straight flush is called a “steel wheel,” and looks like: A♠-2♠-3♠-4♠-5♠. Suits are generally not considered when ranking straight flushes.
