Wild Card -A card that can be played as any other card to help you make your hand.
Wild cards are common when playing at home games. There are so many different variations of poker games and some of
them that use wild cards are Baseball and Deuces Wild. In Baseball, threes and nines are wild cards and any fours let
you receive another card. In Deuces Wild, any deuces is wild and can be used as any other card. For example, if you hold AAAK2,
then you would have four aces with a King.
Sometimes at home games, the joker is used with the standard 52 card deck and it is used as the wild card. In casino
draw style games, Jokers are not wild cards -- they only play as an Ace, or for straights and flushes, or as the lowest
missing card in lowball style games.
