Importing your hand histories on Poker Tracker can be done easily. The first thing you would need to do is to retrieve
the hands you have played from the online card room. The online sites can send you your hand histories via email, but
there is an easier way to retrieve them. Most card rooms have updated their software to allow you to store your hand
histories directly on your computer. For example, on PokerStars you can click on the options menu at the top of the
lobby screen and then click on the "instant hand history options". Make sure you check the box next to the words
"save my hands history" and then specify a location for the histories to be stored. This should take less than
one minute to do. Your hands will be imported now.
Once you open the Poker Tracker screen, the next process should be just as easy as the previous one. In the upper left
hand of the screen, click the online card room or network that you are playing on and a small screen (pictured) will
appear. If you want Tracker to process the information and then move the files (suggested), then check the appropriate
box and direct it where you want the files to go (I have it going to c:/processed files). After that is completed
then just click "start timer". I have mine set up to auto-import hands every minute, but you can set it up to
retrieve the hands at a slower pace if you wish.
Once your hands are imported to Poker Tracker, you will be able to use the software to greatly improve your game.
