The World Poker Tour at
The Bicycle Casino was extremely entertaining. We were able to see
Mark Seif and Hon Le go to war with each other,
Kathy Liebert getting knocked out in the first couple of hands at the final table, and
Chris Karagulleyan switching gears like a racecar on the Indy track.
Mark and Hon went at it full force. There were a couple of hands that Hon got the best of Mark due to the luck of the cards.
Mark had made a large bet with his pocket aces and Hon called all-in with nothing but a
flush draw. He rivered the heart that he needed and started
to send Mark on a downward spiral. Another key pot between the two of them took place when Mark had pocket fives and Hon Le had KT. Mark did a great
read on Hon when he asked him "you gotta a big hand.
You gotta a pair? Sounds like no pair," and he moved all-in. Hon caught the card he needed on the turn and sent Mark to the rail.
The player that impressed me the most was Chris Karagulleyan with his ability to mix up his game. I remember him only getting involved in two big hands until he was
heads up with Hon. He sent Kathy Liebert home with pocket queens
against her AK. He also played pocket aces once and received no
action. I about fell off my chair when he folded king ten on the button
with only four players. It appeared he was in such a commanding chip position, it wasn't necessary for him to risk his stack. He had Hon Le doing his
servant work for him. Hon was eager to go to battle with the other players and if Hon could
dominate, Chris would be in good position to do heads
up battle with him. When the game was heads up, he switched gears like a master and played Hon incredibly. He reeled him in by showing him a couple of
bluffs which made Hon call a huge bet with his pair of kings against Chris's two pair.
All of the players were interesting to watch including Kathy (the two hands she played).
