 Unfortunately I deleted this episode from my TiVo
before I had a chance to write anything about it, so I'll have to wait until it reruns again before putting a full report up. I was
able to get a photo with Jose Rosencrantz, before the Commerce Casino's second season event.
One thing to mention was one of the best sequences in the first season of the World Poker Tour: Jose's outstanding play of 83 offsuit
after he totally missed a flop. Jose was in the big blind. Jamie
limped in from the small blind before the flop,
then made a "please steal this pot" bet when the flop came one not likely to help him. Jose correctly
read the bet as a steal, and took the pot
on the turn when Jamie wasn't able to pull the trigger on another bet. Neither had a pair, but Jamie's crap was better than
Jose's. Jose read the situation correctly and stole a pot where neither player had anything. It showed how important it is
to win your share of those hands when no one has anything. |
